PR: How Do You Write a Press Release?
To write a press release, you need to understand what it is not. Unlike other types of content, a press release is not a sales pitch. A press release is a formal announcement that broadcasts something new and interesting about your organization.
Here is the formula:
DATE:
HEADLINE: This is the most important. A good headline plays a tremendous role in your reach.
LEAD: An intriguing statement that encourages news outlets and readers alike to keep reading to learn more about what you have to say. To keep it simple, this is the who, what, where, when, and how in a sentence or two.
BODY: A larger summary of your main point and why people should care. This section can also include relevant quotes. Quotes that come from notable people or that can help clearly articulate the value contained in your press release will help build interest.
BOILERPLATE: This part includes important information such as the name of the company or organization, mission statement and the founding year.
CONTACT INFORMATION: This section includes contact information and sometimes a link to images.

HEADLINE: New Company (or EarthHaus, in this example) Develops Environmentally-Friendly Solutions
LEAD: EarthHaus, an innovative new company, is set to revolutionize green technology with their state-of-the-art solutions to help the environment. By creating efficient and sustainable products, they aim to protect the planet while cutting energy costs.
BODY: The green energy solutions offered by EarthHaus utilize renewable resources such as wind and solar energy.
