Nautical Ventures and DEEP BLUE Kayak Fishing Charters Featured in Palm Beach Living

Nautical Ventures is a marine superstore with several locations throughout South Florida, offering everything from yachts to tenders and yacht toys. They also have a rental kiosk at the Riviera Beach Marina with half and full-day kayak and stand-up paddle boarding experiences to Peanut Island. In an effort to increase foot traffic and awareness of the marine superstore’s North Palm Beach location, DEEP BLUE Kayak Fishing Charters was contracted to host several outings and kayak fishing seminars where Nautical Venture’s kayaks would be promoted.

Grozina created a public relations strategy to highlight both Nautical Ventures and DEEP BLUE Kayak Fishing Charters as part of the “5 Ways to Experience South Florida on the Water This Season,” giving Nautical Ventures an opportunity to double their visibility.

The outlet for this was Palm Beach Living magazine, a private magazine for the residents of Palm Beach Island, Singer Island and Manalapan, whom all could benefit from a new and uncommon experience.

5 Ways to Experience South Florida on the Water This Season

It’s no secret that Miami’s PortMiami and Fort Lauderdale’s PortEverglades are two of the busiest cruise ports in the world with more than 9 million passengers coming in and out to visit some of the picturesque islands of the Caribbean. In fact, in March 2016, Port Everglades beat the world record for most cruise passengers in a single day. But what can one do on the water in South Florida if you’re not going on a cruise? Read below for some ideas on how you can spend this Spring doing all kinds of water activities in South Florida.

1. Nautical Ventures Kayak & SUP experience in Riviera Beach

The Riviera Beach Marina Village is a destination for everything under the sun, including kayaking or paddle boarding sessions to the quaint and beautiful Peanut Island. One of the top 10 destination in the U.S. for the best snorkeling, Peanut Island is a great place to see an array of colorful tropical fish and spend a day immersing yourself in it’s history. Although currently closed until further notice, Peanut Island has a rich history as it was the secret location of JFK’s bunker during the Cold War. Upon your arrival at the marina, you can rent a kayak of paddle board from the Nautical Ventures kiosk located at 200 East 13th St, for a half of full day of adventure on the water.

2. Everglades National Park Airboat Tour and Wildlife Experience

Be adventurous and book an excursion to Everglades National Park, the largest subtropical wilderness in the U.S. Experience one of South Florida’s best alligator adventures, spot turtles and numerous other rare and endangered species including the Florida panther. The Everglades tour is a great educational experience and an interactive one, as you get to hold baby gators and have an opportunity to see wildlife that exists only in that part of the world.

3. Deep Sea Kayak Fishing

Whether you want to catch Amberjack or Cobia in it’s salt water habitat or do bass fishing in fresh water, deep sea fishing is a great hands-on experience where you can catch your own dinner on a kayak or boat, up to you. Some great charters include, DEEP BLUE Kayak Fishing out of Boynton Beach, Florida, where you can try your luck with a Peacock Bass or Clown Knife fish – the only place in the U.S. where they can be caught. Kayak fishing is a great way to fish in South Florida, and definitely a great fishing experience.

4. Scuba Diving or Snorkeling in Dania Beach

Reconnect with nature and expand your horizons at the Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park in Dania Beach, FL. In the top 10 places in South Florida to snorkel and scuba dive, the reefs at the park are swarming with sea life that include tropical and sport fish, as well as sharks and Florida lobsters. Located at 6503 N. Ocean Drive, the park is also a great destination for boating, picnicking and bird watching.

5. Boating in the Gulf Stream

Apart from the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show which draws more than 100,000 visitors each year, Fort Lauderdale is also referred to as “Venice of America” with more than 300 miles of inland waterways and the “Yachting Capital of the World” with more than 40,000 yachts which call it home. Spend a day on a boat (or yacht) and cruise the Gulf Stream which runs just a few miles offshore. If you want to be extra adventurous, you can run the 50 miles out to Bimini and come back the same day.
